Reading the Forward of the book by Miranda Lambert had me in tears, figured that was my pre-cry before the book began. Thoughts of dogs past came flooding back to me as I was turning the pages, Bandit, my frist Rat Terrier who tought me the love of the breed and was my constant companion for 16years. I remembered Diefenbaker, my Golden Retriever who was just shy of 14yrs old when he passed, he’d do anything I asked of him. He jump started my love of dog training and agility and his health issues pushed me towards health testing and even conformation.
Chicken Soup for the Soul:The Dog Did What? is a book comprised of multiple shorter stories of people’s experience with their beloved companions from heroism to mayhem. I feel certain you’ll find many stories that will relate to your companions of present or past. Curl up with your favorite hot beverage, comfy blanket and this book and you won’t be able to put it down. Something about these short stories will draw you in and you’ll wonder what the next pooch did to ern it’s spot in the book.
I’ve had previous Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul and I am never disappointed by these series of books I doubt you will be either.
